I come from a pioneering media family with a lasting legacy in Southern Africa. My father, a longtime publisher, introduced me to graphic design and encouraged me at a time when the profession was still largely unfamiliar across much of the region. That early exposure shaped both my creative foundation and my belief in the power of visual communication.
Drawn to the intersection of art and technology, I pursued formal training in the United States—studying graphic design at Seattle Central Creative Academy, where I earned an Associate’s degree, and later graduating with a BFA in Media Arts from The Evergreen State College. After completing my studies, I spent the next 15 years working as a freelance designer, serving clients primarily in the sports and Christian arts industries.
As AI began rapidly transforming the creative landscape, I initially felt uncertain about the future of design and even stepped away from the field to work as a low-voltage technician. During that time, I launched an e-commerce Christian wall art business and began exploring AI-generated art hands-on. That experience reshaped my perspective: instead of replacing creativity, AI expanded what’s possible. Today, I’m energized by how these tools can amplify artistic vision—and I’m excited to be part of the next era of innovation where creativity and technology evolve together.
